10k Run in August

Taking Part in 10K Run

Taking part in 10K run enables you not just to take fun in the run but also support a noble cause on the way. Run for all York 10K is organised on 1st August and raise money for cancer. Other 10K run in August includes South coast 10K, Lake union 10K run, Big Heart 5K run.

A large number of runners take part in the 10K run with much interest. In various cities, such types of runs are organised with a view to collect funds for charity. For taking part in the race, it is essential that you get yourself registered for the event.

Run For All York 10k- The race will take place on August 1,2010 with a view to raise funds for children who are suffering from various ailments as well as to raise money for cancer. You can very much the beautiful sceneries around the city of York. The race will move through a number of such beautiful places which will simply make the runners mesmerised. You can get yourself registered online for the event as soon as possible. The event in fact takes place on the Yorkshire Day, and spectators in large number numbers are present to cheer up the runners.

Around 40 soldiers from the Army Foundation College, Harrogate will also be taking part in the run on the 2nd August with the aim to raise money for the Army Benevolent fund. With a view to participate in the run, the junior soldiers actively train themselves in order to win the run as well as to actively raise the money.

South Coast 10K

In the south coast, a 10K run will be organised on the August 15, 2010. It will begin in the city of Seaford in East Sussex. Since the race course is located besides the sea front, so it is a must watch out event.

Lake Union 10K Run

The Lake union is an event sanctioned by the USA Track. It is organised with a view to raise the funds for the “girls on the run”. The run begins at the Westlake Avenue, it moves through the Gasworks and Lake Union Park. However the 10K run finally ends at the Kenmore Air.

A large number of volunteers are also needed to make the run a big hit, in order to make the runners feel comfortable and for filling the water stations, so all those interested may give their names for the same.

Big Heart 5K Run

It will take place on the 8th August, 2010. It is organised with a view to celebrate the life and career of Alan Ball. The run begins at Walton Hall Park. Apart from running, the funds will be also be raised and two foundations namely-The Everton Foundation and the 23 foundation will be managing the funds at the event.
