Taking part in midland fun run has now become a routine for thousands of people who want to be associated with the worthy cause of helping those people in need. Great midland fun run is organised in the month of June and almost all-children and adults take part with full fervour.

The Great Midlands fun run is a unique type of run which mixes fun with a noble cause. A large number of people take part in the run which has a total length of around 8.5 miles. The aim of the runners is to collect funds for charity.
In order to take part in the run you have to get yourself registered for the event, one form per person is available. In 2010 the fun run will take place in the month of June and around 6000 people are expected to participate in the same.

Not just the adults, but a large number of school children too actively participate in the run.

The charities accumulated from the fun run have been around £200,000 which indeed is large sum for the good cause.

Course of the Run

The race which begins at Sutton Park on its way will move through the Boldmere Gate, pass through the Four Oaks Gate and finally reaches the Cardiac Hill from where it turns back to finish in the Sutton town Centre. The run will begin at around 11:00am.

A large number of runners apply for the fun run in order to raise money for RNLI. In return they are given a fund raising pack which will consist of a training guide, tips on fitness and nutrition along with a training T shirt and running vest. The organisers as a way of saying thanks for participating in the run for the noble cause also provides you with runners’ kit bag and water bottle. You will also receive a certificate in order to certify that you have taken part in the race

Join the RNIB Team as Part of Run

As part of Great Midland fun run you can also join the team RNIB who are raising the funds to help the patients who are suffering from eye problems and may lose their sight. You need to register yourself with the registration fee of £20 and after that you have to raise £200 in sponsorship. You can even register yourself with RNIB in advance.

There are a number of benefits of becoming a member of RNIB. You will receive fitness tips and advice on nutrition. You can stay updated regularly with the running newsletters which will be made available to you. There’s the opportunity of joining others like by being in touch with them online.

For the fun run you can get yourself registered online as well. Keeping in view the noble cause attached more and more people every year like to become a part of this run.
