There are a number of benefits of interval training on stationary bike, as it saves you from the harsh weather, you don’t have to run on the road, you can do the workout from home itself. Interval training on stationary bike is effective in losing weight and also in building muscle strength.

Interval training is considered to be one of the most effective ways to lose weight and to remain perfectly fit and healthy. It is considered to be far better exercise than cardio vascular workouts. In high intensity interval training, intense exercise is followed by low level exercises just like running followed by walking. You need to train for at least 5 days per week if you really want to enjoy the results, which are far better than the cardio vascular workouts. If the routine is followed perfectly chances are that you will be able to lose fat within a shorter period of time.

Interval training on stationary bike also serves the same purpose. It is also helpful in conditioning the cardiovascular system. The system works well since you are able to lose weight as well as helps in stimulating the metabolism. Yet another feature is that it helps you to lose weight and stay in proper shape even long after you have left training. For the sports persons, this is particularly helpful as it improves the sports performance.

Interval training though can be performed on any of the machines like treadmill, elliptical trainer but it works best if performed on the stationary bikes. Though few considers interval training on stationary bikes to be boring but still it has a number of advantages. The first thing is that you don’t have to worry about going out on the road, or gym for exercises. You can easily do the workout in the premises of your house. This saves time also. You don’t have to worry about the bad weather conditions or harsh weather conditions like rain, snow or heat. If you intend to work on your muscular strength also then it is imperative that you combine the interval training with other resistance training also. This will keep you healthy and maintain your muscles strength.

The good thing is that with stationary training, you can listen to the music or simply read a book. Apart from saving time, it is said to be easier than some other intense trainings also. You are not at all distracted and thus you can aim better on your workout. Start the intense training workout with a little stretching exercise, this will keep you more energetic and lively and your body too will be well accustomed to the workout. For the beginners, a restricted workout is advised since this will prevent them from suffering from injuries.
