Both runners and walkers joining Rock ’n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon and Half-Marathon wouldn’t have time variation. The set rule is that walkers are to finish their marathon in seven hours unlike half-marathoners who will complete it in four hours.

Well improved course and new name would definitely add glamour to this year’s Las Vegas Marathon which has amazing feature of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

This marathon has distinction for introducing festivity in the sports events. Conglomeration of rock concerts and live music on every mile, horde of cheering spectators and active participation of high school cheerleaders make Las Vegas Marathon unique by adding more charm in it.

With an expected participation of approximately 20,000 runners forthcoming Las Vegas Marathon will showcase unparalleled look.

Brand new course of Las Vegas Marathon 2009 will have another milestone in the coming days. Come December 6 and most lanes in the Las Vegas Boulevard region will turn no car zone on the great day of this event. Cheering spectators and high performing dynamic music bands would make the whole region worth noticing.

Brief History: Considered one of the oldest marathons in the United States, Las Vegas Marathon has been entertaining spectators since 1967. Al Boka used to organise this event since 1983 but it was sold out to Chicago’s famous race organizing company, Devine Racing in 2005. A new course has been introduced since December 4, 2005. It was in that year itself that marathon date was fixed in December instead of January.

The Running Course: Runners of Las Vegas Marathon would cross magnificent fountain-adorned Bellagio, huge pyramid-shaped Luxor and romantic Venetian sites this year. Half and full marathon participants would start and finish at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
